If you were to close your eyes and imagine a golden field of wheat, sun shining, crop gently swaying in the breeze, this may well be the colour you see in your mind's eye...

This stunningly beautiful 100% Mulberry Silk base looks like a tiny string of pearls thanks to it's two plies. The silkworms that produce the silk are fed only on mulberry leaves, and the resulting silk is some of the finest in the world. The mulberry silk is worsted spun to produce a yarn that is luxuriously soft and smooth but not slippery as many synthetic fibres are. Silk is one of the strongest natural fibres. It is absorbant and feels cool to the touch so is perfect for spring and summer garments and accessories.

All of my yarn is prepared and stored in a smoke and pet free environment.

Superwash wool can be machine washed on a delicates cycle at 30⁰c, but I would recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry. Do not machine wash non-superwash wool. I recommend hand washing in cool water with very little agitation and a gentle soap. Lay flat to dry.

I have done my best to accurately represent the true colour of the skeins with my pictures, but due to differences in screen settings, what you see may not be exactly the same shade as the pictures I’ve taken.

As with all hand dyed yarn, no two skeins will ever be identical. However, where possible I will send skeins from the same dye lot together. A little bit of colour run may happen in the first few washes, but this will be minimal.
