Sturdy Sock is my 75% Super wash Merino and 25% Nylon fingering weight yarn base. It's soft but strong, which makes it perfect for socks. I've also used this yarn for sweaters and shawls to great effect.
400m/437 yards for 100g.
This workhorse yarn is 4ply fingering weight. I recommend needle sizes between 2mm (which is how I knit my socks!) and 5.5mm depending on pattern and desired gauge.
All of my yarn is prepared and stored in a smoke and pet free environment.
Superwash wool can be machine washed on a delicates cycle at 30⁰c, but I would recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry. Do not machine wash non-superwash wool. I recommend hand washing in cool water with very little agitation and a gentle soap. Lay flat to dry.
I have done my best to accurately represent the true colour of the skeins with my pictures, but due to differences in screen settings, what you see may not be exactly the same shade as the pictures I’ve taken.
As with all hand dyed yarn, no two skeins will ever be identical. However, where possible I will send skeins from the same dye lot together. A little bit of colour run may happen in the first few washes, but this will be minimal.
