Inspired by a particularly colourful outfit my brother was wearing one morning, this colourway was basically a foregone conclusion. As soon as I saw it, I knew I needed to get it down on yarn.

Footfree Squish is my 4ply fingering weight base. 100% Superwash Merino. This super soft yarn is a smidgeon more plump than Sturdy Sock because there's more merino in place of the nylon, and while I wouldn't recommend it for socks, I'd shout it's virtues to the rooftops for every other fingering weight project. That's why it's called Footfree, and of course "squish" is an industry term, meaning "yarn so soft that once you pick it up, you can't put it down." 400m/437 yards per 100g.
